Sea freight from China
In short
We book LCL and FCL sea freight from the main Chinese ports to Adriatic and North Sea gateways, then move the container inland to Slovakia and clear it ourselves. Sea is the cheapest mode and the slowest: plan 32 to 45 days door to door.

When sea freight is the right choice
If your goods are not urgent and the value per cubic metre is low, sea is the only mode that makes commercial sense. Furniture, lighting, packaging, textiles and machine parts almost always move by sea.
Below roughly 15 cubic metres a shared container (LCL) is usually cheaper. Above that, a full 40ft high cube is normally cheaper per cubic metre even if you do not fill it. Our LCL/FCL break-even tool does the arithmetic on your actual numbers.
What a sea shipment looks like
- You send us the supplier address, packing list and Incoterm
- We collect, check and load, and send photographs before the container leaves
- Sailing, then arrival at the gateway port and inland move to Slovakia
- We file the import declaration in your name and advance duty and VAT
- Delivery to your loading bay, one invoice with every receipt attached
What this costs
Per m³ or per 1000 kg for LCL, whichever is greater. Per container for FCL. Duty and import VAT are separate: we advance them and pass them through at cost with the customs receipt attached.

Customs duty and import VAT are not included above. They are advanced on your behalf and passed through at cost with the customs receipt attached.
Your goods stay in Slovakia, so procedure 42 does not apply and Slovak import VAT is payable at the border.
Minimum order 120 EUR. Rates hold for 7 days; freight moves weekly, so anyone quoting a fixed annual price is guessing.
