About Homola Cargo

In short

A Slovak legal entity in Bratislava, holding its own customs authorisation and filing declarations directly rather than through a third-party broker. The name is a surname because somebody should be accountable for your shipment by name.

Why the name is a surname

Freight is full of companies named after oceans and speed. When a container is stuck and the duty bill is wrong, none of that helps. A surname on the door means there is a person who answers for the file, and you know which person before you book.

What we are, precisely

We are a freight forwarder and a customs agent. We book the sea, rail or air leg, consolidate where it helps, clear the goods in Slovakia under our own authorisation, advance duty and import VAT on your behalf, and deliver to the door. Declarations are filed by us, not passed to a broker who then becomes the person you cannot reach.

What we are not

Not a fiscal representative At launch we do not offer fiscal representation. Distributors clearing in Slovakia must hold their own Slovak VAT registration.
Not AEO-certified We hold no AEO authorisation and display no badges for one. We will publish the authorisation number if that ever changes, not a logo.
Not the declarant, by default We act as direct representative: the declaration is in your name and the customs debt is yours. The detail is here .
Not a black box on price Every fee is published on the pricing page, and the rates we actually pay are published monthly.
