CBAM is not only about steel coil. Finished articles of iron, steel and aluminium are in scope by commodity code, which catches importers who have never thought of themselves as steel buyers.

Check the code against the CBAM annex before the order, and ask the producer for emissions data early; it takes weeks to arrive.
